In an effort to help defray competitor costs the October
3rd practice has been reduced to $50 per car & driver. No charge for crew
members. SRP will host a BBQ after practice.

The 2008 Shasta Raceway Park Open Show will
be sponsored by the U. S. Army this year, Oct. 3, 4, & 5. This will be a true
open show with no sanctioning body. Rules for the Late Model Show
are as follows:
Minimum 2900 lbs. with driver, Max. 58% LS weight, 68" track width, 10" wheels,
carburetor on gas, max 6.5" spoiler, ABC style or equivalent. Crate motors with
intact factory seals will be allowed to run a minimum 2700 lbs with driver. Tires
will be Goodyear 2402 & 2372 and will need to be purchased at the track from Elam
Enterprises. No traction control allowed. $5000
to win based on a 30-car field, Feature will be 150 laps.
Modifieds:
IMCA, NCRA, or NASCAR Grand Am, open motor rules, max 58% LS weight, Minimum
weight is 2500 lbs with driver. No spoilers. Roofs optional. Tires must
be Goodyear D2862 & D2863 (SRP will have a supply). No traction control allowed.
$2000 to win based on a 30-car field, feature will be 60 laps.
